In the summer most of our tortoises are maintained in arenas that are exposed partially to direct sun light.

The mesh covers are essential due to high predation of hatchling by Hooded Crows (Corvus cornix).

Each arena has ceramic heating pads below the shelters and a grassland for grazing, that was provided in addition to a the vegetables provided daily as a food source.
