The Gea Chelonia Foundation (http://www.geachelonia.org/index1.php) is managed by Ivo Ivanchev and concentrates its activities at the Bulgarian Centre for Tortoise Research and Conservation at Banya, Bulgaria. The Center has been established in 2007 with mission to study and conserve the Bulgaria’s land tortoises, Testudo graeca ibera and T. hermanni boettgeri.

The International Center for Tortoise Conservation (https://theictc.com/) collaborates with The Gea Chelonia Foundation at the level of Veterinary evaluation and tortoise husbandry, and aims to share data and goals related to tortoise conservation worldwide.
